Website Standards · STATICMETHOD
A website should be built correctly underneath it.
Design is the visible part. Full custom website engagements also follow a defined technical baseline for responsive behavior, accessibility, search structure, performance, ownership, launch QA, and handoff.
// The baseline
- Responsive UX
- Semantic structure
- Technical SEO
- Search and AI readability
- Performance discipline
- Client-controlled foundations
- Launch QA and handoff
The standard is not a visual template. Every business still gets its own information architecture, design direction, copy decisions, platform choices, and integrations. What stays consistent is the level of care underneath the visible work.

The parts customers may never see still matter.
Mobile, tablet, laptop, and desktop are treated as designed experiences. Navigation, typography, spacing, forms, media, and calls to action are checked across practical breakpoints instead of simply shrinking a desktop layout.
Pages use logical headings, meaningful HTML, keyboard-aware interaction, text alternatives where appropriate, readable contrast, usable tap targets, and forms that can be understood beyond the visual layer.
Public pages receive unique titles and descriptions, self-referencing canonicals, crawlable structure, internal linking, sitemap and robots setup, clean indexing directives, and redirects when a migration requires them.
Schema is added when the visible content and business facts support it. Useful page copy, crawlable information, consistent business details, internal links, and appropriate metadata help search engines understand the site.
Media is sized intentionally, below-the-fold assets are delayed where appropriate, layout shift is minimized, third-party dependencies are kept under control, caching is configured for the hosting environment, and the critical rendering path is reviewed before launch.
STATICMETHOD can handle setup and configuration while domains, Google accounts, analytics, commerce platforms, hosting, and other business-critical systems remain client-controlled wherever practical.
Before release, the site is checked across mobile, tablet portrait, tablet landscape, laptop, and desktop. Forms, links, assets, metadata, canonicals, structured data, overflow, navigation, indexing directives, accessibility basics, and performance are reviewed before handoff.
// Search foundations
- Titles and descriptions
- Canonical URLs
- Sitemap and robots
- Internal links
- Structured data
- Social metadata
- AI-readable business facts
Search optimization starts with a site that can be crawled, interpreted, and maintained. The build includes the technical foundation. Ongoing keyword strategy, new content, local authority building, link acquisition, and continuing SEO campaigns are separate work when the business needs them.
See Local Search Foundations// Ownership
The business should not have to rent its own foundation from the designer.
A clean build includes a clean exit path. Account ownership, recurring costs, platform dependencies, files, credentials, and post-launch responsibilities are made clear so the business knows what it controls and what requires continued third-party service.
Boundaries
A standard is not a fake guarantee.
The technical baseline reduces avoidable problems. It does not pretend every platform, host, script, market, or search result is under one developer’s control.
Search visibility depends on competition, authority, content, relevance, location, history, and systems outside the website itself. The site is built to give search engines a strong foundation, not sold with a ranking promise.
STATICMETHOD targets strong real-world performance and tests the build, but lab scores vary and third-party platforms, apps, media, hosting, and tracking can change the result.
Website Care is optional. Businesses can keep STATICMETHOD involved after launch, but the original website engagement is not structured around permanent dependency.
Questions about the standard
What the baseline does and does not mean.
Defined standards without pretending every project is identical.
No. The standard defines the technical baseline, not a visual template or mandatory CMS. Design, information architecture, platform, integrations, and content are chosen around the business and project scope.
No. STATICMETHOD builds toward strong performance, accessibility, and search foundations, but does not guarantee a fixed Lighthouse score, ranking, traffic level, or AI citation.
STATICMETHOD can handle setup and configuration while domains, Google accounts, analytics, commerce platforms, and other business-critical accounts remain client-controlled wherever practical.
